What is FOXTEL IQ?

FOXTEL iQ is a Personal Digital Recorder with a hard-disk drive recording device. FOXTEL iQ can store around 60 hours of television that can be instantly viewed at any time. The number of hours you can record will vary depending on the type of programming recorded.

Does FOXTEL iQ record enhanced features such as Sports Active?

Sports Active, Gamesworld, Sky News Active or other enhanced features are not recordable. However, FOXTEL iQ records the main game coverage. So if a big play happens in the main game coverage and you want to see it again – you can rewind the main game coverage.

Does FOXTEL iQ skip ads?

FOXTEL iQ has similar functionality to a VCR/DVD player, in that it has the ability to rewind and fast forward. However the FOXTEL iQ will not be able to automatically skip ads.

Can I stop my children watching unsuitable programs?

In the same way as your existing FOXTEL service, it is possible to restrict viewing by specific channels as well as by programme rating. The same restrictions apply to recorded materials.

Will I keep the existing digital set top unit when I upgrade to FOXTEL iQ?

FOXTEL iQ will replace the current digital set top unit. FOXTEL iQ includes all the features of the current FOXTEL set top unit – including easy integration with the FOXTEL Guide and access to FOXTEL programming.

Does FOXTEL iQ record FOXTEL Box Office movies?

FOXTEL Box Office movies can be recorded to the FOXTEL iQ planner. Once watched, the FOXTEL Box Office movie will be automatically deleted from the FOXTEL iQ after 24 hours. Unwatched movies will be stored in the planner for up to 3 days before being automatically deleted.

Do I own the FOXTEL iQ

FOXTEL iQ remains the property of FOXTEL, which allows us to offer it at a low price. This also means that we will continuously update the software for the period of your FOXTEL subscription.
